The Suhaila Dance Company’s audition for the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival was held in January, and we just posted the footage of that audition on Suhaila’s YouTube channel in two parts. There were many exciting dance groups at the audition, and the stage at Zellerbach Hall at the University of California at Berkeley was fabulous. The actual festival will be held in the summer, and we hope to see you there!

Audition Part 1
The first part includes the Processional and Sword Dance, both choreographed and staged by Suhaila Salimpour. You can learn the Sword Dance by individual choreography subscription through Suhaila’s Online Classes.

Audition Part 2
The second part includes Jamila Salimpour’s Raks El Zagat choreography staged by Suhaila Salimpour. This choreography is also one of the required choreographies for Level 2 Certification in Jamila’s format. You can learn Raks El Zagat by individual choreography subscription through Salimpour Online Classes.
