We know you study with the Salimpour School because you love challenging yourself to be the best dancer you can be. We are excited to announce our Summer 2018 Animal Inspiration contest!
Jamila Salimpour loved elephants. She spoke about how they were very strong and powerful, but also kind and gentle matriarchs. These characteristics inspired Jamila as she developed into her matriarchal position in belly dance. What animal influences your dance practice? Do you have a pet that motivates you? You might find inspiration from an iguana, cheer from a cheetah, or motivation from a mongoose. We want to know! Inspire us! #SalimpourZoo #salimpourzoo
The winner of this year’s contest will be awarded a yearlong subscription to Online Classes. Second place will win a $200 credit to use in salimpourschoolonline.com, and our third place will win $100 worth of audio training downloads of your choice (Cymbal Jams and Drill Breaks).
To enter, participants will submit one of these two options:
· Submit a video no longer than 30 seconds explaining how a pet or animal inspires their dance practice (MP4 Format)
· Submit a photo with 100 words max explaining how a pet or animal inspires their dance practice with the hashtag #SalimpourZoo (JPG Format)
Entries should be submitted to SalimpourCertification @ gmail.com and posted on Facebook or Instagram with the following #SalimpourZoo #salimpourzoo. Each participant may submit up to 2 entries. Participants must be certified members of the School or currently registered for a Salimpour workshop or online L1 testing in 2018. All submissions are due (July 1st, 2018). Winners will be announced in August.
You will retain all rights to any photo or video you submit — including ownership if applicable. If you enter the contest, you grant Suhaila International, LLC a royalty-free, nonexclusive right in perpetuity to use and display the video and photo on the Suhaila International, LLC website, Salimpour School website, on the Internet, and in Social Media.
